Redbubble update!

(Bear in mind, I’m trying out the new editor, this is very interesting but uh, hard to get used to, haha.)

I’m very pleased to report that my first valiant attempt at a complex, seamless repeating pattern was a success! Eventually! I’m selling it on some items right now as a pattern on Redbubble and may choose to do a non-pattern version soon as well. Here’s a preview that shows the three background color options that I’m offering with it!

tricolor seamless pattern containing bones, eyes, teeth, rabbits, bees, sharks, nautilus, deer, axolotl
Screencap of a color example for my first-ever pattern on redbubble, starring: the cast of the spacedad novel I’m working on!

You can take a look at the pattern itself on my redbubble account, here!

PROBABLY… unsplash is my new favorite website.

Go to sleep, Pinterest. You can find my unsplash.com account here if you’re interested in the types of collections I’m curating or curious to see what sort of visual inspiration I’m using for either my fine art or my writing, and having free-to-use access to photos I can credit back to the original photographer is also fantastic.

LITERALLY… the only thing I wish was different is the search function. I would prefer a “search within results” kind of deal so that when I search for apples-the-fruit I don’t get page after page of apples-the-tech. But I honestly highly recommend it for curating aesthetics, collecting reference images, or just appreciating neat photos.

(And it’s not that I’m hating on Pinterest, exactly- it’s great for recipes and crafting, but not for “i need a dozen high resolution photos of rocks that I can manipulate to my heart’s content for fun and profit” type photo-gathering.)

Oh! And NASA has an unsplash page, too, so, you know, that’s pretty great. I have no idea if NASA has a Pinterest.

Fun drawings to celebrate the end of Nanowrimo!!

Some drawings for fun since I have slightly more time now! Featuring my favorite two disastrous heroic old fools, and their alternate forms! Also yes I do believe Toshinori is like 55-58 by the time of the show, making him Grunkle Stan’s age or only slightly younger. If the various timeline stuff didn’t convince me, that terrible banana pinstripe suit did.
