UGH!

I’m not entirely convinced that the Tumblr Meltdown of 2018 wasn’t specifically engineered to drive as much of its userbase to revenue-creating websites as quickly as possible, BUT…. oh well. Hopefully more people using the wordpress blogging/reading function will give people a chance to meet one another.

In other news, I’ve really REALLY got the Christmas Spirit lately, no doubt due to having been held hostage by my lovely coworkers playing Hallmark Christmas movies nonstop since October! To be fair, though, I… love them… and am eagerly thinking of ways to show my love for these shows, lmao.

Cute Alien Girls to get back in the writing mood!

I drew a couple of cute aliens- specifically the characters Kip and Jo from another writing project of mine, but reimagined in the context of the Spacedad novel I’m working on. They’re so adorable I could just squish em though!!

I have a nice solid week’s vacation coming up next week and I am SO PUMPED about all the painting and writing that are going to be finished by the time I trudge back into work!

Oh, I’m also thinking of editing some of my older writing that was Patreon-exclusive in 2016 and posting that, along with some of the art from that time period. Just can’t decide if I want that to be something in the blog updates or in its own portfolio page! I’m also thinking that I might start crossposting my public posts on Patreon to here as well and vice-versa- we’ll see! I have a couple of days to mull it over before I have all this uncategorized free time on my hands.

Not really my favorite part of writing.

The bit where you can’t proceed mentally with the story because you realized, 150 pages in, that you forgot to put in every major instance of foreshadowing and flashbacking that would have led up to your character doing the thing he’s about to do, so you go and start editing bits into the existing manuscript.

LOL, I need to stop procrastinating and get the rest of this plot banged out, seeing as I’m going to be doing heavy edits and additions no matter what I do.
